Rolling In The Sea

Hello Readers,

I have painted a picture of the sea at mid-night. It is a very quick painting so it may not look as good. The purple hue is a different change from the usual blue.

A Letter In The Post

This painting of a letter is inspired by the letters that Harry receives in Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone. The red stamp symbolises that it has come from Hogwarts.

A Grey Vision

Hello Readers.

This time I have decided to take time and focus on the detail. I wanted to paint in with grey tones because I helps to soften a drawing. I blended a lot but also remembered the tone. I prefer this eye to the rest that I have painted.

A Swing In the Park

Hello Again,

This time I have created a park scene. I focused more on the tree and the swing then the grass. I feel I should have put a bit more effort into the grass but its great to learn from your mistakes.

Sketchy Eye

Hello Readers,

I painted an eye today but decided to go more sketchy than my last one. I used purple instead of black because I could get more tone with the purple. Again I used blending and tone was important for this sketch. With just one colour you can achieve a lot.

Cherry Blossom

Hello Readers,

We are n the month of April and I felt like painting a feminine flower. I decided to paint a cherry blossom. I have these flowers on my tree in Spring and I decided to paint one of them. Tone is important in painting so I did remember that when painting this. I love the soft pink colour and then the darker pink together, it looks cute and girly.

Classy as a Kiwi

Hello Readers,

I have painted a kiwi today. I love the eart tones that the kiwi has so I wanted to recreate that. I love the texture I use on the skin as it shows that kiwi has a rough surface. I also graduated the colours, because when you half a kiwi, you notice that it is lighter in the centre

Best Friend Files - Kotryna

Hello Readers,

After a week or so, I have finally made another painting. I have come back with the Best Friend Files and painted my friend Kotryna. She has fair hair and tanned skin, which due to her being away in the sun so often. She also has lovely greeny-brown eyes which ccomplement her tan.

Timid Tulip

Hello Readers,

Seeing as it is Spring, I decided to go a bit traditional and came up with a tulip. I do like these painting because, first I show the depth in the flower and secondly I like the wispyness of the grass. I know, self-praise is no praise but I do like this one.

Pink Lemonade

Hello Readers,

Today I have painted a picture of a strawberry and a lemon. I both love these two fruits and together they can make pink lemonade. I love the bright colours of these two fruits that I had to paint them together. I tried to capture the vivid colour but also make sure they are not too in-your-face.

Best Friend Files - Maddy

Here I am with another best friend. In this Best Friend Files, I am introducing my friend, Maddy. I have made two pictures but find that I prefer the first one. She is a lovely best friend and can sometimes be quite hyper. She has very dark brown hair and gorgeous brown eyes. Sometimes I envy her beauty!

Our Old Saint Patrick

As it was St. Patricks Day two days ago, I decided to paint a picture of a green top hat. From T.V. programmes, such as The Simpsons, you notice that the Irish leprechauns have hats like these. Personally I do not like the way The Simpsons promote the Irish as drunk, because I, myself, am Irish and I am surrounded by sober people!

Eye Spy You

Hello Readers,

Today I have painted a picture of an eye. For some odd reason I, out of habit, start doodling pictures of eyes. That then inspired me to actually try and paint one. I decided to go for a simple blue eye, like my own. If you look closely, you can see the blending and graduated colour of the eye.

Here is the first person in my Best Friends File. Her name is Sara and she has blue eyes and blonde hair. This painting is inspired by a picture taken from her birthday party. She is wearing a cute silver sequin top and black waistcoat, which contrasts nicely with her pale skin and fair hair.

Plump Fruits

                                               

Hello Readers,

Today I have decided to paint two fruits, a tomato and an apple. I painted them in contrasting colours because I feel it makes the painting look more fun. I painted the tomato red and the apple green. Red and green are two colours that are opposite each other in the colour wheel, this means that they should like nice together.
